Kathleen Morrison is an operatic soprano whose talent has been hailed as “Riveting” by Opera Canada and "dual punch of sleek technique and beguiling flare" by Prince George Citizen.
Over the past decade, her career has taken her to numerous countries, including Germany, Austria, China, Italy, USA, and Canada, where she has graced the stage with her captivating performances.
Apart from her impressive performing career, Kathleen is also a highly sought-after vocal coach. She is the owner and operator of the thriving 'Voice by Kathleen' studio in Calgary, where she trains singers of all genres, ranging from classical to country, pop, rap, EDM, jazz and musical theatre. Her students have gone on to be cast in lead roles in various productions by Theatre Calgary and Storybook Theatre, gained entry into prestigious arts programs at Berklee College of Music, University of McGill, University of Toronto, Ryerson University, UBC, University of Calgary, American School of Music & Dance, and Broadway Dance Centre - ISVP Professional Semester, and even performed for live auditions on America's Got Talent. Additionally, her studio members have recently been featured in the Alberta country music-based Project Wild and have won Alberta Country Music Awards.
In addition to her coaching successes, Kathleen is also an accomplished adjudicator and masterclass clinician. She has worked with the University of Lethbridge, The Calgary Arts Academy, Prince George Opera Company, Alberta Music Education Foundation, Lethbridge Speech & Music Festival, Airdrie Performing Arts Festival, Drayton Valley Performing Arts Festival, and was a panelist for a series on vocal health and trauma presented by Calgary Opera. At the prestigious Renert School, she has served as the Director of Solo Vocal Studies since 2019.
Kathleen's coaching style is grounded in developing a healthy technique that can be applied to any genre, ensuring that her singers are well-rounded performers. She has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Lethbridge and an Artist Diploma from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
In 2023, she founded and is the executive/artistic director of Alberta Vocal Arts, a non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving the classical vocal arts.
Residing in Calgary, Alberta, Kathleen finds joy and companionship with her beloved Grand Champion Trick Samoyed, Alfie and her brand new puppy, Rosie. Notably, she is a Certified Trick Dog Trainer of the Year (All-Star Trainer of the Year 2022) and holds the position of Vice-President of the Samoyed Association of Canada.

Let's Get Singing!
I am offering individual voice lessons focusing on developing a healthy singing technique
that can be applied to any vocal genre!
The first half of the lesson we focus on building a healthy vocal technique and production, and the second half we apply it to the songs that YOU want to sing!
Lessons are appropriate for ages 10 and up, and as mentioned, any style.
I have worked with every skill level from beginner to professional, all kinds of genres (including pop, country, classical, rap, EDM producers, rock, punk, blues, musical theatre, etc). My studio has included everyone from doctors and lawyers, professional singers and some very spry grandmas to name a few.
Studio members have successfully auditioned for America's Got Talent, Theatre Calgary, Storybook Theatre, Berklee School of Music, American Music & Dramatic Academy, High School Musicals, and solos at Church.
